WHO IS SOMEONE YOU CONSIDER A HERO AND WHY?
My mom is my hero, through and through. Her whole life, she’s gone against the grain and paved the path of her own success. She is the perfect blend of humility and reigning success. She is an amazing wife, mother, entrepreneur, business owner, and follower of Christ. She is a mom to all and shows generosity in every room she enters. The support she and my dad have given me and my siblings is unmatched. I believe I can never fail because of the way I can fall back on my mom and my family.
WHAT IS YOUR SELF-CARE ROUTINE?
My faith is incredibly important to me. I am lucky to have grown up around powerful mentors, leaders, and family who helped guide my spiritual life to assist me in making it the foundation and reason for all my life’s blessings. Every day I wake up knowing today is a gift and that sets the tone for my day. A practice for myself is to be comfortable in the way I wake up every day, so I try to show up with bare skin more than not. Whether that’s eye bags and a breakout, I choose some days to cover and care for it, or just show up as myself. This has brought a new meaning to being myself in all ways—my physical appearance, personality, and mood. I have more than accepted myself; I abundantly love who I am.
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF BEAUTY?
“You can make something beautiful by the way you talk about it.” In this definition, the words you say to others, yourself, and subjects can illuminate the environment around you for better and for worse. Looks promise everything but give nothing. Beauty is as much as a feeling and aroma as it is a visual; it is crucial to create beauty in yourself and unto others that is beyond looks.
